West Ham Make Moves for Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui and Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville
West Ham have made inquiries about signing Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui, who has been with the German giants for two years since joining on a free transfer from Ajax. The Hammers are also working to sign Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville, but the two clubs remain apart on valuation.
Mazraoui, 26, came through the ranks at Ajax, where he played under current Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag. He was also a member of the Morocco team that reached the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup. There have been reports of Manchester United circling the player, but now West Ham have registered their interest.
Fulham are also keen on Summerville, who has impressed for Leeds since becoming a regular starter two seasons ago. The winger is coming off the back of a brilliant campaign, where he contributed 21 goals and 10 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions.
Summerville, who has been capped by the Netherlands at Under-21 level, signed for Leeds from Feyenoord in September 2020. He was a key player for Leeds last season, but the club ultimately fell short in the play-off final against Southampton.
West Ham, now managed by Julen Lopetegui, have made three major signings so far in this transfer window. Exciting youngster Luis Guilherme joined the club from Palmeiras, while goalkeeper Wes Foderingham arrived on a free transfer following his departure from Sheffield United. West Ham also secured the signing of Max Kilman from Wolves, who is set to boost their defensive ranks.
