Lala Kent has taken a remarkable step by apologizing to David Arquette for her behavior on the set of their 2020 film, Spree.
In a heartfelt message on her Instagram Stories, Kent, 33, wrote, “I want to apologize if I came across as unfriendly to you on the set of Spree. I was surrounded by many established actors, including you, and I felt intimidated and out of my league. I’m grateful for the opportunity, but I understand if my behavior was misinterpreted.”
Arquette, 52, had shared his less-than-flattering experience working with the Vanderpump Rules star on the Sunday, July 21, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. Despite not having any scenes together, Arquette recalled that Kent was “not the friendliest” towards him during their brief encounters.
Speaking candidly, Arquette told Cohen, 56, “I felt a bit of attitude from her, and I was taken aback. I didn’t understand why I was getting attitude.”
He humorously added that his experience with Kent felt like he was filming scenes for Vanderpump Rules itself.
Spree, released in January 2020, stars Stranger Things‘ Joe Keery as a rideshare driver with a twisted motive. Arquette played Keery’s father, while Kent appeared as passenger Kendra Sheraton. The horror film also featured Sasheer Zamata, Kyle Mooney, and Mischa Barton.
Following Arquette’s claims, his fans rushed to his defense on social media, with one user saying, “David Arquette seems like one of the nicest guys. Why would she give attitude? She’s no actress, lol. And she’s not nice!”
Meanwhile, Kent is expecting her second daughter after undergoing intrauterine insemination with a sperm donor. She celebrated her baby shower earlier this month in an ethereal Selkie minidress — the same design she mocked her Vanderpump costar Ariana Madix for wearing in 2021.
The Give Them Lala author is also the mom of daughter Ocean, 3, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett. She announced her pregnancy in March and opened up about having another daughter during an Amazon Live chat.
“With this baby, I was feeling all sorts of energy,” Kent said in April. “I felt like boy energy would’ve been nice to have in the house. But I love girl time. We’re a house full of girls right now.”
