Slash Mourns the Loss of Stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight
Guitar legend Slash is grieving the untimely passing of his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, who sadly departed this life on July 19, 2024, in Los Angeles, California.
In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, paid tribute to Lucy-Bleu, describing her as “an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.” He shared that she was the beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, and sister of Scarlet Knight, as well as stepsister of London and Cash Hudson.
The family has requested privacy during this difficult time and asked that “social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.” The official cause of Lucy-Bleu’s passing has not been disclosed.
Following the announcement, hundreds of fans and friends, including fellow musicians, poured out their condolences and support in the comments section.

In a poignant Instagram post, Lucy-Bleu appeared to apologize to her peers, writing, “Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity — I am sorry.”
Her mother, Meegan, responded to the post, saying, “MY BABY GIRL! 
I LOVE YOU WITH EVERYTHING. I’M SO SORRY.”
Musician Grace McKagan also offered words of comfort, writing, “You have nothing to apologize for, I’ll see you again, I love you. I’ve got you.”
In previous posts, Lucy-Bleu showcased her artistic talents, including a painting of a girl wearing green cowboy boots, and shared her tattoos, including a recent ink job featuring the words “c’est la vie,” which means “That’s life.”
Besides being a stepdad, Slash shares sons London, 21, and Cash, 20, with ex-wife Perla Ferrar.
