Manchester City star Jack Grealish is reportedly still shaken by a burglary at his £5.6million Cheshire home seven months ago, with the police yet to make any arrests. The incident, which occurred in December, saw thieves make off with an estimated £1m in jewellery and watches while Grealish was away playing for his club. His long-term partner Sasha Attwood was at home with 10 family members when the break-in occurred, and quickly raised the alarm.
A massive search was initiated, involving helicopters and dogs, and it’s been reported that the burglary gang attempted to raid the mansion one month prior to the attack but were scared off when they spotted a police car nearby. According to a source, Grealish is still ‘on edge’ about the situation, with the police investigation ongoing but no arrests made.

The source revealed that Grealish fears the burglars will never be caught, and that the incident has left him and his family badly shaken. ‘Seven months on and no arrests have been made. Police say they are still investigating it, but there’s a real fear they have fled the country,’ the source said.
Grealish was informed about the raid by City’s head of player support and protocol Manel Estiarte after the final whistle of City’s 3-1 Goodison Park victory on Boxing Day. Concern was etched on the player’s face as he rushed down the tunnel to the dressing room.

Grealish’s home in Cheshire lies in an affluent area that is thought to have been targeted by a number of professional burglary gangs from Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Chile. The England star is not the only Premier League footballer to have been targeted by raids, with Joelinton, Victor Lindelof and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all suffering similar ordeals in recent years.
Grealish will be looking to put himself firmly in the plans of Gareth Southgate’s successor – whoever that might prove to be – this season, having missed out on the Three Lions squad for the European Championship this summer. He and childhood sweetheart Attwood are expecting their first child together, with the couple announcing the news earlier in July.
