Renowned snowboarder Shaun White traded in his Olympic gear for a Panda Express apron, surprising fans by working behind the counter of the popular Chinese restaurant.

In a unique collaboration, White joined forces with Panda Express to celebrate National Orange Chicken Day. The Olympian spent the day learning the ins and outs of Panda’s signature wok-cooking technique and even whipped up a few dishes of the coveted Hot Orange Chicken.

White’s enthusiasm for the dish was palpable as he worked alongside Panda chefs, surprising guests with his culinary skills. “Learning to cook up NEW Hot Orange Chicken with [Panda Express] for National Orange Chicken Day! Back on menus nationwide for a very limited time,” he wrote on Instagram.

This unusual stint comes on the heels of White’s 4th of July celebration in Lake Tahoe, where he was joined by his long-time girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, as well as friends Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh.

Dobrev has been focusing on her physical therapy following a dirt bike accident that left her in need of knee surgery. The Vampire Diaries star has been keeping fans updated on her progress, sharing a series of Instagram Stories that showcased her day-to-day life during recovery.

In one post, Dobrev revealed she was using a Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) machine to aid in her recovery, explaining that the device “slowly helps your knee to bend” following surgery.

During her recent appearance on The Talk, Dobrev opened up about her surgery and injuries, revealing she had a fractured knee as well as ACL repair and meniscus surgery.

Despite the challenges, Dobrev expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support from her fans, saying, “Thank you to everyone who has been sending kind messages, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes.”
