A recent family court ruling in New Jersey has confirmed Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson as the father of a baby girl. Judge Aldo J. Russo’s order, issued on June 26, states that an interim child support agreement has been reached between Jefferson and the child’s mother, Andrea Galea. The specifics of this arrangement have not been disclosed, but the judge’s filing mentions that the parents will participate in private mediation.
According to a previous report by DailyMail.com, Galea had accused Jefferson of pressuring her to terminate her pregnancy when she became pregnant in 2023. She decided to continue with the pregnancy and gave birth to their daughter, Stella, in December, as stated in her paternity lawsuit. In their respective counterclaims, both Jefferson and Galea requested paternity testing, and Galea sought financial support and healthcare coverage from Jefferson, who has recently signed a lucrative contract with the Vikings.
The 25-year-old Louisiana State product is also one of the stars of Netflix’s new NFL reality series, Receiver, which showcases the league’s top pass-catchers. Photos show Galea with her daughter, Stella, and Jefferson at an event last week.

As previously reported, Galea accused NFL star Jefferson of pressuring her to terminate the pregnancy.
Judge Russo’s order established guidelines for recent visits and required both parents to maintain contact regarding the child. It also permitted the All-Pro player to have FaceTime conversations with his young daughter while she and her mother traveled to Italy. Additionally, the order denied Jefferson’s request to prevent Galea from taking their daughter on this trip.
Jefferson recently signed a four-year, $140 million contract with the Vikings.
The order emphasized the need for civil and direct communication between the parents, requiring them to interact directly without intermediaries. It also set a timeline for responses to communications, ensuring timely responses within six hours or less.
Galea sought financial support and healthcare coverage from Jefferson.
Galea, a University of Miami Law School graduate, previously attended LSU with Jefferson. They had a romantic relationship in 2019, drifted apart, and then reconnected in April 2023, according to her paternity lawsuit. It was during this reconnection that Galea claims Jefferson fathered her daughter.
Jefferson’s January filing against Galea included a demand for an injunction to prevent her from sharing information about the child on social media. While Galea remains active on social media, her Instagram page has not featured photos of Stella since May 5.
Text messages from 2023, included in Jefferson’s filing, show him asking Galea if she is “okay with getting this [situated].” He also inquired about her use of Plan B, also known as the morning-after pill, to end the pregnancy. In his messages, Jefferson expressed his desire to avoid such a situation and his willingness to provide support.

Also included in Jefferson’s filing was a text in which he told Galea she was being ‘annoying’

Galea’s response acknowledged the use of Plan B but noted that it was too late to be effective. She also emphasized that both parties share responsibility in such situations. In her filing, Galea claimed that Jefferson pressured her to have an abortion and offered to do whatever was needed. However, when he realized he couldn’t persuade her, he allegedly acted with insensitivity and cruelty, blocking communication and telling her to contact him only when “legal stuff” came up.
In their text exchanges, Jefferson told Galea that she was being “annoying” about Stella, which led him to change his phone number. He also stated that she wanted the child and could take care of it herself. Additionally, Jefferson mentioned that he had tried to warn her about how the situation would unfold, but she hadn’t believed him.
Galea’s paternity lawsuit highlights their close relationship in the past, noting that Jefferson even stayed at her mother’s home in New Jersey for “two weeks” during their undergraduate days at LSU. Galea, a former LSU swimmer, is now a recent law school graduate from the University of Miami, embarking on her legal career while caring for her daughter with the support of her mother.
