Tributes are pouring in for Shannen Doherty, the beloved actress who passed away recently at the age of 53. Her Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates are among those paying homage to the late star, who bravely battled cancer for many years.
Leading the tributes is Jason Priestley, who played Brandon Walsh, the twin brother of Doherty’s character Brenda Walsh. He shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing his shock and sadness at the news of her passing. “She was a force of nature and will be deeply missed,” he wrote.
Doherty’s other 90210 co-stars also shared their fond memories and condolences. Carol Potter, who portrayed Brenda’s mom Cindy Walsh, took to Instagram to express her shock and sadness at Doherty’s untimely death. She praised Doherty’s courage and perseverance throughout her journey and sent her love and prayers to the family.
Gabrielle Carteris, who played Andrea Zuckerman, remembered Doherty as “so young and so courageous.” In a separate statement to Us, she added that Doherty’s willingness to share her journey has helped countless others. She also mentioned that she knows Luke Perry, Doherty’s onscreen love interest who passed away in 2019, will be there to welcome her with open arms.
