There are reports that Tobey Maguire, the Spider-Man actor, might be romantically involved with model Lily Chee, who is almost three decades his junior. However, Jennifer Meyer, Maguire’s ex-wife, has seemingly refuted these rumors.
A Reddit thread titled ‘Jen Meyer defends ex-husband Tobey Maguire’ included a screenshot of a comment allegedly made by Meyer on her jewelry company’s Instagram account, denying any romantic connection between Maguire and Chee.
Meyer, a 47-year-old jewelry designer, addressed reports linking Maguire to Chee after they were spotted together at an exclusive July 4 party in the Hamptons, New York, known as the ‘White Party.’ The event was hosted by billionaire Michael Rubin.
According to the Reddit thread, a user asked Meyer, ‘Why is your ex-husband banging someone 3 years older than your daughter?’ with three skull emojis. A response from the @jenmeyerjewelry account stated, ‘I don’t usually respond to such nonsense, but he was kindly helping a friend to her car. Being a good guy.’

The reply continued, ‘And now he has [been] blasted online for dating someone he is not. But thank you for your rude comments. I hope it made you feel better today. Wishing you love and light.’ This comment was later deleted, according to reports.
Another comment attributed to Meyer’s jewelry business account stated, ‘I am disengaging after this… But don’t believe everything you read (I’m sure you were taught that somewhere). Tobey is as good of a guy as it gets.’
Neither Maguire nor Chee have publicly addressed the speculation about their relationship since the photos surfaced.
Chee shared photos from the luxurious bash on her Instagram, posing with friends and captioning the post, ‘fun fun fun for the 4th.’
Maguire and Meyer married in 2007 in Kona, Hawaii, but separated in 2016. They have two children together, daughter Ruby Sweetheart, 17, and son Otis Tobias, 15. Their divorce was finalized in 2020, and the former couple appears to be on good terms.
An insider revealed to a magazine that Maguire and Chee ‘aren’t seriously dating but have been hanging out.’ They were introduced through nightclub impresario Richie Akiva ‘and mutual friends,’ according to the source, who added that their relationship is ‘nothing serious.’
The White Party was attended by several celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Megan Thee Stallion, Drake, Megan Fox, and Tom Brady.
Meyer has been linked to entertainment executive Geoffrey Ogunlesi since her divorce. They were spotted together at an event in Los Angeles last fall.
