Former NFL player Daniel Muir’s 14-year-old son, Bryson, is missing and believed to be in extreme danger. Bryson’s grandmother, Cheryl Wright, alleges that he suffered abuse at the hands of his father and was brainwashed by a religious group in Indiana.
Wright described Bryson’s battered face, including a black eye and swollen lips, during their last encounter outside her Cleveland-area home. She tipped off the police, but when Bryson’s mother, Kristin, arrived to pick him up, he fled and has not been seen since June 16. Wright believes Bryson was conditioned by the religious group, which owns the Muirs’ home and car.

Bryson is the son of Daniel Muir, a former Indianapolis Colts nose tackle. Wright expressed concern about the Muirs’ involvement with the Servant Leader Foundation and Straitway Truth Ministries, an organization described as a potential hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center due to its anti-LGBTQ and anti-Semitic ideology.
Efforts to contact the Muir family and the organizations have been unsuccessful. Police urge anyone with information to come forward as the search for Bryson continues.
