Now, she has shared adorable photos and videos of her Glorious Fourth celebrations with her children – daughter Katherine, six, son Spencer, three, and baby Anne.

She went all out to ensure her children had a memorable holiday, complete with themed cupcakes adorned with American flag-colored icing. Mindy revealed last Monday on Instagram that she had welcomed Anne in late February after a secret pregnancy. She announced the joyous news on her 45th birthday, June 24, calling Anne “the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined.”

“In late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined. When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life,” the new mother of three wrote on Instagram.
“I’m so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!” she added. The post included a photo of Mindy’s baby bump, along with a sweet snap of her two older children bonding with their new sibling.

However, her Office co-star, B.J. Novak, is the godfather to Katherine and Spencer. In 2022, Kaling told Entertainment Tonight, “He’s very good with children. He literally wrote a best-selling children’s book called The Book With No Pictures.”
The creator of Never Have I Ever added, “It comes very naturally to him. He’s a great godfather.”
There have been rumors that Novak is the father of Katherine and Spencer, which the actress has denied. She previously addressed the speculation in an interview with Marie Claire, saying, “It doesn’t bother me. He’s the godparent to both my kids, and they have such a great relationship.”
