Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce recently revealed the one team that could tempt him away from Kansas City. In a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason, Travis shared that he would consider playing for a team based in London.
During their ‘No Dumb Question’ segment, a listener asked the Kelce brothers if they would consider playing for a team in London. Travis responded enthusiastically, stating, “Yes, 100 percent. I’m waiting for that team… To play for another team, other than the Chiefs, that’s the only situation—is if I get to play abroad.”
Travis Kelce revealed he would only consider leaving the Chiefs for a London-based NFL team.
Jason, a former Eagles center, asked Travis how long it would take for the NFL to establish a franchise in London, to which Travis replied, “Less than ten years.” He added that London has been the most frequent host of NFL games outside of the US, with 42 games played there since the league’s international series began in 2007.
The Kelce brothers also discussed their recent trip to the United Kingdom, where they attended three of Taylor Swift’s sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium. They shared their excitement about meeting Prince William and his children at one of the concerts.
The Kelce clan supported Taylor Swift during her Eras Tour shows in the United Kingdom.
Former Eagles center Jason Kelce was impressed by the NFL’s massive fanbase in London.
Jason expressed his confidence that London would be the first city to get an NFL team if the league expands overseas. He stated, “If there’s an NFL team, the first city it’s coming to is London. I’ll go on record for that. There’s the most amount of fans here [outside the US], there’s the biggest appetite, it’s a major market.”
Travis Kelce has been an integral part of the Chiefs’ success in recent years, helping them win three Super Bowl titles in the last five years. In April, the Chiefs signed him to a two-year extension worth $34.25 million.
