The Scottish FA has expressed their warmest wishes to Scottish football icon Alan Hansen, who is currently facing a significant health challenge while hospitalized. As Scotland prepares for their opening match at Euro 2024 against Germany on Friday, their thoughts remain with Hansen, a Liverpool and Scotland legend who has been hospitalized, prompting an outpouring of support, including from the national team camp.
Scotland assistant manager, John Carver, shared his thoughts, saying: “I want to send my best wishes to Alan and his family during this challenging time. We, the players, the staff, and everyone associated with the SFA, are thinking of him and his loved ones. Alan is a true legend of the game, one of the first ball-playing center-halves I can recall. He was graceful on the ball and a key member of one of the greatest club sides in the world at the time, winning numerous European Cups and other honors.”
