Travis Kelce acknowledged that his softball triumph pales in comparison to his girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s ongoing achievements.

The 34-year-old NFL star showcased his softball prowess at David Njoku‘s celebrity charity event in Ohio on June 8, 2024, by smashing 11 home runs. Following this impressive display, the “Gojo and Golic” podcast hosts, Mike Golic Jr. and Mike Golic, applauded Kelce’s athletic versatility.

“[Travis] displayed incredible versatility as an athlete, transitioning seamlessly from one sport to another,” Golic remarked in a clip shared via X on June 10. He added that Kelce “battered the softball, hitting home runs left and right.”

However, Golic Jr. was quick to remind Kelce of the high bar set by his partner. “The only thing I can think of is how challenging it must be to stand out in the household he now shares with Taylor Swift,” he said.

Golic Jr. then imagined a conversation between Kelce and Swift, both 34. “‘So, honey, how was your weekend?’” Golic Jr. said, pretending to be Kelce. He then switched to Swift’s voice, adding, “’I stimulated the global economy, performed in a new city, and positively impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands. How about you, dear?’”

Golic Jr. then jokingly replied as Kelce, “‘I crushed 11 home runs in a celebrity softball game. Feeling pretty awesome about it, honey. Thanks for asking.’”

Kelce responded to the comments with good humor, proving he could take a joke. “I love listening to these guys! ‘Feeling pretty good about it, babe,’” he tweeted, along with several laughing emojis.

Kelce and Swift have been romantically linked since the summer of 2023. They made their relationship public during an NFL game in September and have been going strong ever since.

During the NFL offseason and Swift’s brief hiatus from the Eras Tour, the couple spent quality time together. After the tour resumed in May, Kelce was spotted supporting Swift in Paris, where she made several references to their relationship.

Earlier in June, Swift was spotted smiling and blushing during her performance in Lyon, France, as she sang the song “Fifteen,” which includes the lyric, “In your life, you’ll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team.”
