Manchester United ‘Demand £40m for Discontented Winger’ as They Look to ‘Offload’ Star ‘Without Delay’

Manchester United are reportedly planning to offload Jadon Sancho during the upcoming transfer window. The club is willing to let the winger go for a fee of around £40 million, despite his talent and potential.

Sancho’s future at United has been a subject of speculation, particularly given his strained relationship with manager Erik ten Hag. The player was loaned back to his former club, Borussia Dortmund, in January after falling out of favor with Ten Hag.

Prior to that move, Sancho had seen very limited playing time, clocking in at just 76 minutes that campaign. However, he impressed during his time back in the Bundesliga, helping Dortmund reach the Champions League final, where they ultimately lost to Real Madrid.

Given this background, it was initially thought that Sancho’s fate at United was tied to Ten Hag’s future with the club. However, according to a report by BBC Sport, United is looking to sell Sancho regardless of who occupies the managerial position next season.

Manchester United is reportedly ready to part ways with Jadon Sancho, regardless of any managerial changes.

Dortmund has expressed interest in bringing Sancho back, but only on loan. United, on the other hand, is seeking a permanent transfer for the 24-year-old, which could be a challenge due to his substantial wages, currently at £300,000 per week.

During the latter half of last season, United covered a third of these wages while Sancho was on loan. Now, the club is keen to offload him to reinvest within FFP regulations, with several Serie A clubs reportedly interested.

United is looking to sell Sancho for £40 million, three years after signing him for £73 million from Dortmund.

United is willing to take a financial hit on Sancho, selling him for a reduced fee just three years after signing him for £73 million.

Sancho joined United in 2021 for £73 million after a successful stint at Dortmund, where he established himself as an England international. However, he has struggled to consistently reproduce his impressive form at United, under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ten Hag.
