Tommy Fury Unveils an Unsteady Soccer Aid Performance, Eliciting Laughter from Mauricio Pochettino and Robbie Keane

Tommy Fury became the target of online ridicule following a clumsy performance at Soccer Aid.

The cruiserweight prospect returned to Mauricio Pochettino’s World XI side, a year after his previous appearance in the charity event, which also drew mockery for his football skills.

Fury, 25, was introduced as a first-half substitute and positioned on the right wing. However, his performance on the pitch fell short of his prowess in the boxing ring.

In one instance, he attempted to dribble past England’s Mo Farah on the edge of the box, only to miskick the ball, eliciting amused reactions from Pochettino and Roy Keane on the sidelines.

Another memorable moment came when Fury appeared to attempt an underarm roll during a throw-in, raising questions about his familiarity with football rules.

Fans took to social media to mock Tommy Fury’s football skills during his Soccer Aid appearance.

The undefeated boxer struggled on the pitch after coming on as a substitute for Pochettino's team.

Fans took to social media to express their amusement at Fury’s performance, with some questioning his football experience. “Tommy Fury has just done an underarm throw-in. Mad that he doesn’t know the rules of football,” wrote one fan.

“Tommy Fury putting in a throw-in underarm. I don’t know why he keeps getting invited back,” added another.

A third fan commented, “I used to think Lee Mack was the worst player at Soccer Aid, but now it’s Tommy Fury. Underarm throw-in, and he kicks the grass funny. Hope he stays on for entertainment.”

Despite the lighthearted criticism, the match itself was a close contest. Joe Cole gave England the lead, only for Eden Hazard to equalize with a free-kick for the World XI. Alessandro Del Piero then put the visitors ahead, but Ellen White made history by becoming the first woman to score at Soccer Aid, ensuring the match ended in a draw.
