Wayne Rooney, the Manchester United and England legend, has been spotted belting out a tune at a local pub in Plymouth. The 38-year-old, who was appointed as Plymouth manager in May, seemed to be in high spirits as he performed karaoke at The Cider Press.
Rooney, donning a baseball cap and casual attire, received a warm reception from the crowd as he sang his heart out. The former England captain has been working to win over the hearts of Plymouth fans since taking the reins at Home Park.
So far, Rooney’s Plymouth has won one, drawn two, and lost two of their five games under his management. Despite the mixed results, Rooney appears to be settling into his new role and is making an effort to connect with the local community.

Rooney’s Plymouth were recently knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the second round, losing 2-0 away to Watford. They will look to bounce back in their next Championship game against Stoke on Saturday.
Before taking charge at Plymouth, Rooney managed Derby County, DC United, and Birmingham. During his illustrious playing career, he became Manchester United’s all-time record scorer with 253 goals and held the same accolade for England with 53 strikes before being surpassed by Harry Kane.
Rooney had two spells at Everton, as well as playing for DC United and Derby County.
