Rapper Lil Baby spent Monday night in jail after being arrested in Las Vegas for possessing a concealed weapon without a permit. The 29-year-old Grammy winner was taken into custody by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and is being held on $5,000 bail at the Clark County Detention Center.

According to reports, Lil Baby was last seen in high spirits on Sunday night at Los Angeles Clippers point guard James Harden’s 35th birthday bash at MainRó in Hollywood. Coincidentally, the rapper was with Harden the last time he was arrested in Paris in 2021 for a marijuana-related charge, and he wound up paying a fine to French authorities.

Lil Baby has a long rap sheet dating back to 2012, with possession and intent to sell charges, marijuana possession in 2013, and he spent two years in prison for possession of marijuana with intent to sell in 2014. In 2019, he was arrested in his Atlanta hometown for failure to signal, eluding police, and reckless driving in his orange Corvette.

The rapper has been working on his fourth studio album, and last Saturday, he gave fans an update, saying, “Album 80% done #sorry4thewait.” Lil Baby boasts 52.3 million social media followers and has fathered two sons, Jason Armani Jones, nearly 9, and Loyal Armani Jones, 5, with two different women.

In addition to his music career, Lil Baby co-owns the Seafood Menu Restaurant & Lounge in Atlanta with his sister Daja Jones. In 2022, he reportedly purchased a $10-$15 million Atlanta bachelor pad designed by Annysa LaMantia, featuring a 15-foot-wide bed, private screening room, and swimming pool.
