An amusing exchange took place on Wednesday when Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams was informed of Aaron Rodgers’ lengthy NFL career. Rodgers, a seasoned veteran at 40 years old, is embarking on his 20th season in the league, having first stepped onto the field for the Packers back in 2005.
Williams, upon hearing this news, couldn’t contain his surprise. “Aaron, 20 years in the NFL? Wow!” he exclaimed, as laughter filled the room. He then made a humorous comparison between Rodgers’ career duration and the age of their rookie running back, Braelon Allen, who was born in 2004. “Our running back is 20 years old. So, [Rodgers] has been in the NFL as long as [Allen] has been alive. That’s incredible!” Williams added, seeing the humor in the situation.

Rodgers, seen recently, made his NFL debut for the Green Bay Packers back in 2005
Allen, a recent fourth-round draft pick by the Jets from Wisconsin, was born on January 20, 2004, just a couple of years before Rodgers took his first NFL snap in October 2005.
Over the course of his illustrious career, Rodgers has accumulated numerous accolades, including 10 Pro Bowl appearances, four MVP awards, and a Super Bowl victory with the Packers. However, his time with the Jets has been less fortunate so far, as an Achilles injury sidelined him just four plays into his debut for the team.
During a recent press conference, Rodgers shared an encouraging update on his recovery, stating that he feels “really good” and that his focus is now on the mental aspect of his rehabilitation. He also expressed his determination to perform at a high level and help the team succeed.
