Renowned Ex-Player Reveals Unlikely Rival Team with Rich Heritage He’d Have Joined Over Red Devils

Gary Neville Reveals Surprise Premier League Club He Would Have Liked to Join

Gary Neville, the former Manchester United defender, has revealed the Premier League club he would have liked to join if he had ever left United. In a surprising admission, Neville named Arsenal as the club he would have liked to play for.

Neville, who spent his entire 19-year career at United, made 602 appearances for the club and won numerous titles, including eight Premier League titles and two Champions League titles. Despite his loyalty to United, Neville revealed that he had always had a lot of respect for Arsenal and their tradition.

“When I went to Highbury and you used to walk in that old entrance with the marble hall, I used to think it’s a club of proper tradition,” Neville said. “I used to love the blazers that you used to wear and there is a resemblance in alignment for what United were at that time with the blazers and tradition.”

Neville’s former England teammate, Jamie Carragher, also revealed that he would have liked to play for Tottenham Hotspur if he had ever left Liverpool. Meanwhile, Ian Wright, the former Arsenal striker, struggled to pick a team, despite flirting with the idea of signing for one of Arsenal’s biggest rivals.
