For the second time since the release of The Tortured Poets Department, Post Malone’s country music venture, F-1 Trillion, has debuted at number one, moving 250,000 album-equivalent units in its first week of release.

The album, featuring the Morgan Wallen-assisted single “I Had Some Help” and the Blake Shelton collaboration “Pour Me A Drink,” marks the second-biggest debut for a country album in 2024, behind Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. TTPD fell two slots to number three, with Chappel Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess climbing into the second spot.

The only other release to knock TTPD off its perch since spring was Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) in June. Malone collaborated with Swift on TTPD‘s opening track “Fortnight,” and Swift praised Malone’s new album after he played it for her on the set of the “Fortnight” music video.

Taylor Swift Through the Years

Taylor Swift has been a household name since the early 2000s, and her talent has earned her a place among the music elite. From releasing her first record in 2006 to gracing stages worldwide, Swift has cemented her status as a music icon. […]

Swift shared her enthusiasm for Malone’s album on Instagram earlier this month, saying, “I was lucky enough to hear this amazing music on the set of the ‘Fortnight’ video when Austin played it for me. It’s incredible how versatile his artistry is. And just the most down-to-earth guy alive.”

Malone, 29, was equally effusive about Swift, calling her a “once in a lifetime” talent on Instagram in April. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with her, saying, “I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey.”

Everything Post Malone Has Said About His Upcoming Country Album

How Post Malone Went Country

Post Malone is trading in his hip-hop roots for a country twang. From his trap-influenced debut “White Iverson” to his alternative rock experiments and heavy-metal collaborations, Malone has never been afraid to explore new sounds. His country album F-1 Trillion marks a bold new direction for the artist. […]

While Malone’s chart-topping success may rival that of Swift and Beyoncé, he has no interest in becoming a pop star of their caliber. In a recent interview with The New York Times, Malone expressed his reluctance to take on the pressure of being a global superstar, saying, “I can’t even imagine being at their level — it must suck. That’s so much pressure.”
