NFL legend Tom Brady made a surprise appearance at Inter Miami’s MLS match against FC Cincinnati on Saturday night, joining co-founder David Beckham in the stands at Chase Stadium.
Beaming with excitement, Brady chatted with Beckham before kickoff, soaking up the electric atmosphere in Fort Lauderdale. The seven-time Super Bowl champion was visibly thrilled to be part of the action, and his famous friend was more than happy to oblige.
The superstar duo wasn’t the only A-list attraction in attendance, as soccer sensation Lionel Messi watched on from the stands, still recovering from the ankle injury he sustained in last month’s Copa America final.
As the match unfolded, Luis Suarez fired Inter Miami into a two-goal lead within six minutes, with Messi, Brady, and Beckham all witnessing the thrilling action. However, the hosts were dealt a significant setback just three minutes before halftime when Tomas Aviles received a red card, leaving them with work to do after the interval.

At halftime, Brady took to the field for a special presentation, where Beckham presented him with his own Inter jersey, complete with the iconic No. 12 – a nod to his storied NFL career.
Brady’s connection to Miami runs deep, owning a $17 million mansion in the city, making the 30-mile trip to Fort Lauderdale a breeze for the six-time Super Bowl winner.
The friendship between Brady and Beckham dates back to 2007, when the soccer legend moved to California to play for the LA Galaxy. Their bond has only grown stronger over the years, with Beckham even reaching out to Brady after his Netflix roast to check in on his well-being.
“I know Tom quite well, and I must admit, I did fire him a message just to check he was OK,” Beckham explained during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel earlier this year.

Brady’s NFL career may be behind him, but he’s set to embark on a new chapter as an analyst with FOX Sports. The Hall of Famer will work as an analyst for the network this coming season, having signed a staggering 10-year, $375 million contract.
Former teammate Drew Bledsoe believes Brady will excel in his new role, although he did take a lighthearted jab at his ex-colleague’s “squeaky a** voice.”
“I know that Tommy will work it to death,” Bledsoe said when asked about Brady’s upcoming first season as an NFL color commentator on Good Morning Football. “I will get kind of tired of his squeaky a** voice, but I know he’ll do a great job calling the games.”
