Joey Lawrence’s estranged wife, Samantha Cope, is speaking out after filing for divorce, sharing a heartfelt message about the importance of tears and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with heartache.

Cope took to Instagram to post a video filled with emotional moments, including shots of her crying and moments of pure joy, such as dancing with her daughter, Dylan, and petting a horse on a ranch.

In the caption, Cope shared a friend’s wise words, stating that each tear is “God gently squeezing the pain and devastation from your heart to make room for new beautiful feelings to come in.”

Cope also jokingly mentioned that the more she cries, the less she needs to use the restroom, finding a silver lining in her emotional turmoil.

As previously reported, Cope filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and is seeking 100% physical custody of their daughter, with strict restrictions on when Joey can see her.

The situation is further complicated by allegations of an affair between Lawrence and screenwriter Melina Alves, who is in the process of divorcing her husband, Edward Rider.
