Matthew Lawrence, the star of the popular TV show Boy Meets World, revealed on his podcast “Brotherly Love” that he briefly matched with Rumer Willis on the exclusive dating app Raya.
Lawrence, 44, was on the app following his 2022 divorce from Cheryl Burke, and he recalled chatting with Willis, 36, who was also on the app at the time. He mentioned that she had laughed at his bio, which listed him as the “Father of Dragons,” a nod to his Game of Thrones-inspired pet lizards.
Lawrence’s brothers, Joey and Andy, were skeptical of the story, with Andy even texting Willis to verify it. However, there was no update from Willis by the end of the podcast episode.
Many celebrities, including Eric Stonestreet and Chelsea Handler, have turned to dating apps to find love. Raya, in particular, has become a popular platform for celebrities, with its exclusive membership and focus on privacy.
Lawrence eventually moved on from Raya and started dating Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, with whom he has been going strong since November 2022. In May 2023, Chilli gushed about Lawrence, calling him her “forever partner.”
Rumer Willis, on the other hand, debuted her romance with Derick Richard Thomas in 2022, but the couple called it quits two years later. She has since been focusing on co-parenting their daughter, Louetta, born in April 2023.
In a recent Instagram Story Q&A, Rumer expressed her gratitude for her daughter, saying, “I’m so grateful for Lou. She is the best thing in my life. I’m forever grateful I was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life.”
