Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end, was seen putting in the work on the field ahead of the team’s final preseason game against the Chicago Bears. However, despite his presence on the field, Kelce did not participate in the game itself, along with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed that Kelce and Mahomes would be sitting out the game, giving other players a chance to get some reps. “As far as the rotation goes for the Bears, I’ll probably sit the starters the way it looks right now, and we’ll have the other guys get out there and play,” Reid said.
Kelce was spotted warming up in a full Kansas City red ensemble, running routes and punting the ball. Despite not playing in the game, he seemed to be in high spirits.

The Chiefs ultimately lost the game 34-21 to the Bears, but fans aren’t too concerned about the team’s preseason performance.
Kelce has been making headlines off the field as well, recently buying a $31,000 gift for his popstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift. He’s also set to appear in the upcoming movie “Happy Gilmore 2.”
