As the 2023 NFL season kicked off, a new wave of talented quarterbacks entered the league, including Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis, all vying for long-term starting positions.
Among these promising rookies, Stroud has already gained widespread recognition as a superstar and one of the league’s top quarterbacks, thanks to his impressive performance as the starter for the Houston Texans last season.
Initially, there were doubts about Stroud’s abilities, with many believing Young was the more well-rounded prospect at the quarterback position. However, Stroud’s exceptional leadership, which led the Texans to the NFL playoffs, has silenced his critics, while Young struggled to secure only two wins with the Carolina Panthers.
As Stroud continues to shine on the field, he has attracted attention from his peers, including Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams. Stafford recently shared his admiration for Stroud’s playing style, praising his ability to throw the ball with ease and exhibit calm aggression.
“He has a natural throwing motion and plays with a calm, calculated intensity that I really appreciate,” Stafford said.

Prior to the 2024 NFL season, the Rams will face off against the Texans at NRG Stadium, marking one of the final preseason matchups before both teams finalize their rosters and prepare for Week 1.
Unless both teams advance to the Super Bowl, this preseason game will be the only time the Texans and Rams meet during the 2024 campaign.
