Dawn Olivieri, a 43-year-old actress from the popular drama series Yellowstone, has filed a lawsuit against several individuals who she claims have made false statements about her, including shocking allegations of horse abuse and murder.
According to Olivieri, these false claims have negatively impacted her livelihood and damaged her reputation. The lawsuit alleges that several horse-related influencers made false statements about the horses at her sanctuary, Moon Mountain, including claims that she forced the animals to drink dirty water, supported starving them, and even killed newborn Arabian horses.
Olivieri claims that these false allegations led to the demise of a potential partnership with workwear giant Dickies, as well as other potential brand deals. She alleges that the defendants refused to stop making the allegations despite her personal requests.
In addition to defamation, Olivieri is also suing for cyberstalking and trespassing at her sanctuary. She claims to have received “terroristic threats” due to an incident where one of the defendants allegedly claimed she could be “unalived.”
The actress, who plays two characters in the Yellowstone universe, including Sarah Atwood on the flagship series and Claire Dutton on Paramount+ series 1883, has had a career spanning two decades. She has starred in TV series House Of Lies and appeared in films Bright and Den Of Thieves.
Olivieri is seeking damages and a court order to stop the defendants from making further false statements about her.
