Lady Gaga Welcomes New Puppy Three Years After Dogwalker Shooting

Lady Gaga has welcomed a new furry friend to her family, three years after a shocking incident in which her dogwalker was shot and two of her pets were kidnapped.

The singer recently shared the happy news on TikTok, posting a selfie video cradling her new French bulldog. In the video, she mouths along to the lyrics “If the world was ending, I wanna be next to you” from her new song “Die With A Smile” with Bruno Mars.

Gaga didn’t disclose the name or sex of the new addition to her household. She already owns three other French bulldogs: Koji, Gustav, and Miss Asia.

The new pup’s arrival comes three years after a traumatic incident in which Gaga’s dogwalker, Ryan Fischer, was shot four times by a group of criminals who made off with Koji and Gustav. Fischer nearly died of his injuries and spent weeks in the hospital before being discharged.

Gaga covered all of Fischer’s medical expenses and offered a $500,000 reward to anyone who could bring Koji and Gustav back to her. A judge ultimately ruled that Gaga didn’t have to pay the reward because the woman who returned the dogs was an accessory to the crime.

The kidnapping suspects were unaware that the dogs belonged to Gaga, but the incident left Fischer with physical and emotional scars. He recently revealed that he had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and had difficulty retaining memories between the night he got shot and a few months ago.

Fischer took a sabbatical and traveled for two months before his van broke down, prompting him to set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for his “healing” road trip around America. He planned to visit retreat centers, trauma programs, and queer healers to aid in his recovery.

In a statement, Fischer clarified that he didn’t mean to “blame” anyone for his feelings of abandonment and lack of support, saying that it’s a common experience for trauma victims to feel alone.

Gaga’s new puppy is a welcome addition to her family, and fans are thrilled to see her happy and surrounded by her beloved pets.
