Lil Jon Brings the House Down!
Kamala Harris has certainly won over the hearts of many celebrities, but Lil Jon took it to a whole new level on Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention roll call.
The Georgia-based rapper electrified the crowd in Chicago with an impromptu performance, dropping bars from his iconic 2013 hit, “Turn Down For What”, sending the energy through the roof!
But that wasn’t all – he also surprised the crowd with a special rendition of “VP Harris … Governor Walz”, set to the tune of another one of his hits, “Get Low”. The audience was on their feet, dancing and grooving to the beat.
The atmosphere was a far cry from the Republican National Convention a few weeks prior, which was more subdued in comparison.
Other states got in on the action as well, with Michigan rocking out to Eminem‘s “Lose Yourself” and Massachusetts getting down to Dropkick Murphys‘ “Shipping Up to Boston”.
This year’s DNC roll call was all about having a blast, and with Kamala Harris securing the Democratic presidential nomination earlier this month, the party was in full swing!
It’s clear that this convention will go down in history as one to remember!
