The viral video shows a couple on the “kiss cam” at the Rams-Chargers matchup, where the man excitedly gets down on one knee, only to be rejected by his partner. To add insult to injury, a woman walking by accidentally spills nachos and a drink on him.

Many fans who saw the video were quick to call foul, suggesting that the whole scene was staged for laughs.
The Athletic’s Rams reporter Jourdan Rodrigue seemed to confirm these suspicions, tweeting that she had watched rehearsals of the scene before it took place.
Some Twitter users were scathing in their criticism, with one commenting, “WWE wrestling is more believable than this.”
Another user wrote, “Not a chance that’s real – he’s staring at nacho lady prior to.”
A third user lamented, “I hate how stadiums decided to make staged situations to get laughs and reactions instead of filming genuine fans.”
In the actual game, the Rams managed to hold on and beat their stadium-sharing rivals the Chargers 13-9.
