Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce, have experienced a significant amount of fan attention over the years, but they acknowledge that it pales in comparison to the level of fame attained by Jason’s brother, Travis Kelce, and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. In a recent podcast appearance, Jason shared his perspective on the contrast between their respective levels of celebrity.
During the Friday, June 6 episode of Andrew Santino‘s “Whiskey Ginger” podcast, Jason remarked, “It’s been crazy, and then Travis and Taylor have taken it to another level. It’s a whole other ball game.” He added, “Kylie and I think we have it bad, but then we spend time with them, and it’s a whole other situation. You can’t even begin to comprehend what it’s like to live with that level of fame.”
Jason and Kylie tied the knot in 2018, during his time as a football center for the Philadelphia Eagles. Their fame escalated further when Jason and Travis became the first siblings to face off in the Super Bowl last year, with Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs emerging victorious. Travis began dating the equally renowned Taylor Swift shortly after their Super Bowl win.
Travis, a three-time Super Bowl champion, admitted to WSJ. Magazine in a November 2023 profile that dating someone with Swift’s level of fame was a new experience for him. However, he embraced the scrutiny and attention that came with it, saying, “I’m not running away from any of it… When she acts like [herself], I better not be the one acting all strange.”
As Travis and Swift’s relationship intensified, Swift’s fans began showing an interest in his NFL career, even extending their support to Jason and his down-to-earth wife, Kylie. During the podcast, Jason joked that Kylie should be more famous than him, and he acknowledged that their family’s increased exposure has made them feel a bit uncomfortable at times.
“We’ve tried to pull back a little, but I think she enjoys the fact that she gets to do charitable work, give back to the community, and host clinics for young girls,” Jason shared. He added that while Kylie may have been “more hesitant” about certain aspects of fame, they are navigating it together and appreciate the support they receive from fans.
Jason recognizes that he and his family are incredibly fortunate to have the support of their dedicated fans, and he is grateful for the opportunities that fame has brought them.
