Travis Kelce’s Father Ed Launches Scathing Attack on Kanye West Over Taylor Swift Lyric
Ed Kelce, father of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, has launched a fresh attack on Kanye West after the rapper mentioned his son and girlfriend Taylor Swift in a new song.
West’s lyrics, which reference Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, have sparked a heated response from Ed Kelce, who took to Facebook to express his concerns about West’s mental health.
In his post, Ed Kelce wrote, “I feel the need to clarify that my comment on Kanye West was not a criticism, but rather my thoughts on his mental health. His behaviors and comments beyond Taylor indicate a paranoia and over-inflated sense of self-worth.”
Ed Kelce’s comments come after West sparked a long-running feud with Swift when he jumped on stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and interrupted her acceptance speech for Best Female Video.
The feud between West and Swift has been ongoing for years, with West referencing her in his 2016 track “Famous.” Swift later targeted West’s then-wife Kim Kardashian on her album “Tortured Poets Department” with the song “thanK you aIMee.”
Swift is currently wrapping up her four-month European Eras Tour dates in London, while Travis Kelce is preparing for the new NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs are bidding to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowl titles, with their season starting on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.
