Kailyn Lowry is beaming with pride as her eldest son, Isaac, moves up to high school after graduating from middle school.
“It’s been an eventful week, and I still can’t believe my eldest is off to high school later this year,” Lowry, 32, shared on Instagram on June 7th. “So many emotions and milestones! #kaillowry #kailandthechaos.”
To commemorate the occasion, the former Teen Mom 2 star posed with her son, who proudly held his certificate of promotion to 9th grade, along with a certificate of excellence in American sign language.
One of Lowry’s followers commented, “I saw that Isaac wants to be an ASL interpreter! I teach ASL and have worked with the Deaf community for many years. We need more male interpreters, so kudos to him for pursuing this passion!”
Lowry replied, expressing her hope that Isaac continues to pursue his interest in ASL interpretation.
For the special day, Lowry opted for a casual look, donning a black tee and American Eagle cargo pants, accessorized with a Get Lucky Charmed necklace. She was joined by Isaac’s father, Jo Rivera, whom she dated in high school. The two first appeared together on 16 and Pregnant in 2010 when Isaac was born and later documented their co-parenting journey on Teen Mom 2.
Although Lowry departed Teen Mom 2 in May 2022 to pursue other ventures, she hinted at the possibility of another TV project featuring her family. In response to a fan’s comment, she wrote, “It’s in the works.”
Lowry also assured her followers that they would “be back somewhere else” on television.
Lowry has her hands full with a large family. In addition to Isaac, she is also a mother to Lincoln, 10, with ex Javi Marroquin, Lux, 6, and Creed, 3, with ex Chris Lopez, and three young children with her current partner, Elijah Scott.
While acknowledging that her situation is “very unique,” Lowry shared in a recent TikTok video that she has managed to create a harmonious routine with in-home childcare during the week and a well-organized schedule.
“Just because I can handle more children, it doesn’t make you any less of a mother,” she said in a video posted in January, after announcing that she would not be having any more children following the birth of her twins. “We all have our limits, and I get overwhelmed too. Everyone’s load is different, and so is their breaking point.”
