At just 39 years old, Shane Steichen has already made a name for himself as one of the most promising head coaches in the National Football League.
His journey to the top was not an overnight success story. Instead, he worked his way up the ranks, serving in various positions before finally earning the nod to become a head coach.
Steichen’s big break came after a couple of impressive seasons as the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive coordinator. His success in that role ultimately led to him being handed the reins as a head coach, and he has not disappointed.
In fact, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has been singing his praises, calling him a “genius” in a recent interview.
“I think he’s a genius… honestly,” Richardson said, emphasizing the importance of having a coach who is so knowledgeable about the game.

Since Steichen’s departure, the Eagles’ offense has struggled to find its footing. On the other hand, the Colts have remained competitive, even with Richardson missing significant time due to injuries.
Despite flying under the radar, the Colts have a legitimate shot at winning the AFC South Division and making a deep playoff run, especially if Richardson can stay healthy.
With Steichen at the helm, the future looks bright for the Colts. At just 39 years old, he has already demonstrated his coaching prowess, and his best years may still be ahead of him.
