Prince Harry Will Not Attend His Uncle Robert Fellowes’ Funeral

Prince Harry will not be traveling back to the United Kingdom to attend the funeral of his uncle, Robert Fellowes, according to sources. Fellowes, who was the brother-in-law of the late Princess Diana, passed away on July 29 at the age of 82.
Fellowes held a significant position in the royal family, serving as Queen Elizabeth II’s private secretary from 1990 to 1999. He was married to Lady Jane Fellowes, Diana’s older sister, and they had three children together.
Although Prince Harry will not be attending the funeral, he did reach out to his aunt and cousins to offer his condolences. This comes after news broke of Fellowes’ passing, which was met with sadness from the royal family.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are set to embark on a trip to Colombia, where they will focus on online safety for children. This initiative is part of their Archewell Foundation’s efforts to create a safer digital environment for kids.
Colombia’s Vice President, Francia Márquez, stated that the couple’s visit comes at a significant time, as it precedes the first Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, which will take place in Colombia this November.
Harry and Meghan will engage in several activities related to online safety during their trip, which aligns with their Archewell initiative, The Parents Network.
The couple recently discussed online bullying and their initiative during an interview on CBS Sunday Morning.

Meghan Markle recently spoke about the importance of online safety, stating, “All you want to do as parents is protect them. And so as we can see what’s happening in the online space, we know that there’s a lot of work to be done there.”
The couple also discussed the connection between social media and teen suicide, with Meghan sharing her own experience with mental health struggles.
“I haven’t really scraped the surface on my experience, but I do think I would never want someone else to feel that way and I would never want someone else to be making those sort of plans,” Meghan said.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s efforts to create a safer online environment for children are a crucial step in promoting a healthier digital landscape.
