The Detroit Lions suffered a setback on Monday as three key players, including running back Jahmyr Gibbs, cornerback Terrion Arnold, and cornerback Ennis Rakestraw, were injured during practice.
According to reports, Gibbs left practice with a leg injury, while Arnold suffered an upper-body injury and Rakestraw sustained an ankle injury. Later, it was revealed that Gibbs’ injury is specifically to his hamstring.
All three players were being evaluated after practice, but further details about the extent of their injuries were initially unclear.
Gibbs is coming off an impressive rookie campaign that earned him Pro Bowl honors. He tallied 1,216 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns, playing a crucial role in Detroit’s rise to the NFC North title and NFC championship game.
