Lukas Gage and Chris Appleton have taken a significant step forward in their lives following the end of their marriage. The former couple has reached a divorce settlement and mutually agreed to waive spousal support, as Us Weekly can confirm.
According to court documents obtained by Us, the declaration of default was recently filed with the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County. Back in March, Us confirmed that court filings related to confidential financial information were made to expedite the divorce process, with Appleton, 40, providing his financial statements.
“Chris has moved on and would rather not dwell on the past,” an insider told Us exclusively at the time. “He has exciting projects on the horizon and is focused on the future. Chris is eager to finalize the divorce as soon as possible.”
Speculation about a relationship between Appleton and Gage, 29, began in February 2023 when they posted photos from a trip to Mexico. A month later, they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood and TikTok Celebrate Vanities: A Night For Young Hollywood event.
“I’m very happy and deeply in love,” Appleton told Drew Barrymore at the event. “I feel incredibly blessed to share my life with someone so special. Love is truly a precious gift, and finding someone you deeply connect with is extraordinary.”
In April 2023, the celebrity hairstylist and Euphoria actor tied the knot in a surprise ceremony officiated by none other than Kim Kardashian. The event was later featured on an episode of The Kardashians.
“I’ve never seen Chris this happy and smitten,” Kardashian said on a September 2023 episode. “It’s a whole new experience for him. I love creating surprises and making people happy, and seeing them so happy and genuinely surprised brings me so much joy.”
However, what seemed like a whirlwind romance came to an end in November 2023 when Appleton filed for divorce from Gage, citing irreconcilable differences.
In March, Gage told People that he was doing well and moving on. “It’s been a year of learning, growth, and change—constant change,” he shared while attending the Road House film premiere at SXSW. “Life is always evolving.”
