Liverpool’s Conor Bradley Ready to Take It to the Next Level
Conor Bradley, Liverpool’s promising young full-back, is eager to build on his breakthrough season and make this year even better. The 21-year-old Northern Irishman made a significant impact last season, starring in the Carabao Cup triumph and playing 28 times in total.
Bradley’s impressive performances earned him rave reviews, with some fans even calling for him to start ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, the young player remains grounded and focused on continuous improvement.
In an interview, Bradley reflected on his surreal experience last season, saying, “It feels real now. In the moment, it did not, a bit surreal. But it feels real now, and I just want to keep pushing on from that.” He added, “I feel really good, really fit, and raring to go for the season now. It’s been a good pre-season, we’ve won basically every game we’ve played.”
Bradley’s rise to prominence is a testament to his hard work and dedication. He was first spotted by a referee in a kids’ tournament, and his mother, Linda, played a crucial role in guiding him through the ranks. His father, Joe, who sadly passed away this year, was also instrumental in his development as a player.
One of the men who discovered Bradley, Joe McAree, described him as a talented boy with a great attitude. He said, “He’s a talented boy, with a great attitude. From the first day I met him in the cafe, he looked me in the eye and smiled, it just felt different. For an 11-year-old boy, it was just different, the focus he had.”
Bradley also reflected on the prospect of challenging Trent Alexander-Arnold for a spot, saying, “I’ve just got to keep working hard. Obviously, everyone knows how good Trent is and how good of a right-back he is, but I’ve just got to keep working on my game and keep trying to improve myself.”
The young full-back acknowledged that he still has room for improvement, adding, “I think a bit of everything, to be honest. I’m not obviously the complete package yet. I’m still a young player, so I’ve still got to improve my output in the final third and my defending in the final third as well, so I think everywhere.”
With a new season underway, Bradley is ready to take on the challenge and make a bigger impact. He’s ready to take it to the next level.
