Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, demonstrated their commitment to their local community in The Hamptons by attending a fundraising event at the East Hampton Library on Saturday.
The couple was in attendance at the East Hampton Library’s 20th Annual Authors Night Benefit, held at Herrick Park Field, which featured over 100 authors from various genres.
Under a grand tent, attendees were treated to an array of delectable treats and wine, allowing them to mingle with the authors and discuss their works. The event also provided an opportunity to purchase signed books.
The event kicked off at 5 p.m. ET, giving attendees three hours to explore the literary scene.

Following the Authors Reception, guests attended dinner parties at private homes, honoring one or more of the esteemed authors.
Baldwin, 66, took the opportunity to promote Adam Nagourney’s book, The Times: How The Newspaper Of Record Survived Scandal, Scorn, and the Transformation Of Journalism, holding it up for a photographer as he stood alongside his wife under the tent.
The father of seven kept it casual in dark gray slacks and a light gray Polo shirt, while his fashion-conscious wife of 12 years looked radiant in a black dress that accentuated her fit figure.
In keeping with the relaxed atmosphere, the author, entrepreneur, and Yoga instructor also donned flip-flops and sunglasses.
All proceeds from the event, including the $150 entry fee and dinner deals starting at $500, will benefit the East Hampton Library.

Alec’s outing comes nearly a month after he had his involuntary manslaughter charge against him dismissed in New Mexico in connection to the 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the Western film Rust.
‘There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now,’ Baldwin shared in his initial reaction that brought him to tears. ‘To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family.’
The case was thrown out when the judge agreed that prosecutor Kari Morrissey and Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza withheld evidence about the source of the live round that killed Hutchins on the set.
Hutchins died when Baldwin pointed a gun at her as they set up a camera shot on a movie set near Santa Fe. The gun fired a live round inadvertently loaded by the movie’s chief weapons handler Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.
Gutierrez-Reed, serving an 18-month prison sentence, filed a motion for dismissal of charges in response to the prosecutors’ failures to disclose evidence.

Their new reality series is slated to air on the TLC network sometime in 2025.
