Former President Donald Trump has once again been caught in a web of deceit. Previously, it was reported that Trump fabricated a story about being in a helicopter crash with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, claiming that Brown had unflattering remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris. Brown swiftly debunked the claim, stating that not only does he hold Kamala Harris in high esteem, but he has never shared a helicopter ride with Trump.
It seems that dishonesty has become a habit for the former president.
During a recent press conference at his Mar-a-Lago residence, Trump made another outlandish claim, stating that the crowds at his MAGA rallies rival those that gathered for Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic “I Have A Dream” speech.
Trump stated, “If you look at Martin Luther King, when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours, same real estate, same everything, same number of people. They said he had a million people, but I had 25,000 people. But when you look at the exact same picture, and everything’s the same because it was the fountains, the whole thing all the way back to… from Lincoln to Washington. And you look at it, and you look at the picture of his crowd, my friend, we actually had more people.”
Dr. King’s daughter, Bernice King, quickly responded to this egregious falsehood on Twitter, setting the record straight.
With the November 5 election fast approaching, it’s essential to stay vigilant and informed about the facts.
